Privacy Policy
Bubble Lab is a free bubble-popping game for iOS and Android, provided by ZG Development (ZG PlayLab, Switzerland) ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the game uses, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Bubble Lab app only.
1. Data that stays on your device
- Game progress: stars, scores, unlocked worlds, coins, boosters, skins, effects, achievements and your daily-challenge streak.
- Settings: sound, music, vibration and language.
This data is stored only in the app's local storage on your phone. We never receive it. Deleting the app deletes it.
2. Data processed by our service providers
| Service | What data | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase Analytics (Google) |
Game events such as level started, level completed or failed (level, mode, stars, score, play time), ads watched, share and rating taps; app language; device model, OS version, country derived from the IP address; an app-instance identifier. | To understand which levels are too hard or too easy and improve the game. Not used to identify you. |
| Firebase Crashlytics (Google) |
Crash reports: stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, a random installation identifier. | To find and fix crashes. |
| Firebase Remote Config (Google) |
A random installation identifier and app version. | To adjust game settings (for example difficulty or how often ads appear) without an app update. |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) |
A push token and your language. Only if you allow notifications. | To send an optional daily-challenge reminder. |
| Google AdMob | Advertising identifier (on iOS only if you allow tracking), IP address, device and app information, ad interactions, approximate location derived from the IP address. | To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. Personalised ads only with your consent (see section 3). |
Google acts as our service provider. Its handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy, Privacy and Security in Firebase and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
We do not collect your name, e-mail address, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location, health or payment data. There are no in-app purchases in the current version.
3. Ads, consent and tracking
- Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): on first launch the game shows Google's consent form (Google User Messaging Platform). You decide whether your data may be used for personalised ads and by which ad partners. If you do not agree, only non-personalised or limited ads are shown.
- Change your choice: open Settings → Privacy & ads choices in the game at any time (shown where consent is required).
- Apple tracking prompt (iOS): the game asks for permission before the advertising identifier (IDFA) may be used for tracking. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", it is not used. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the system settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device).
- Ads appear only on menu screens, between rounds and in videos you choose to watch for a reward — never during gameplay.
4. Notifications
After you have played a few levels, the game may ask whether you want a daily reminder. If you agree, a push token is created by Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone's settings.
5. Legal bases
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation or the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies, we rely on:
- your consent for personalised ads, tracking and notifications (you can withdraw it at any time, see section 3);
- our legitimate interest in running a stable, fair and improving game for crash reports, basic usage statistics, remote settings and non-personalised ads.
6. Where data is processed and how long it is kept
Google may process data on servers in the European Union, the United States and other countries. Transfers are protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US / Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Firebase Analytics: user-level data is kept for up to 14 months.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports are kept for 90 days.
- AdMob: according to Google's retention policies.
- Data on your device: until you delete the app.
7. Children
Bubble Lab is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and is not part of a children's or family program. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will help to remove it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to complain to a data-protection authority (in Switzerland the FDPIC, in the EU your local authority). Because the game has no accounts, we can usually not link data to you by name. To exercise your rights, write to us at the address below; deleting the app and resetting your advertising ID also removes the link between your device and the data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when the game changes (for example when new features are added). The date at the top shows the latest version. Important changes will also be announced in the app's release notes.
